It's been a while since I posted any news. Well I've been pretty busy these days. I'm doing some storyboard work at Warner Bros. Animation on the 'Loonatics Unleashed' series. It's on Saturday mornings on the Kids WB.

What's up? A book that I've illustrated for comedian Jeff Foxworthy called 'The Redneck Dictionary' is on the best seller's list. A 2nd book is coming out in 2006.

I teamed up again with Walter Santucci as the Evil Cat Land crew along with Academy award winning director Curtis Hanson (L.A. Confidential, 8 Mile, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle) of Deuce Three Productions and Fox 2000 to Co-direct & provide animation for the open title sequence of 'In Her Shoes' movie. Starring Cameron Diaz, Toni Collette, Shirley MacLaine and Mark Feuerstein. Movie opens sometime in 2005.

Hi all! It's been a while but here's the latest news.
I did some illustrations for KCAL9-KCBS of anchor woman Pat Harvey as a 'Matrix-type' superhero for the news segment titled "Anchor Woman". Here is the link to the illustrations. Link 1
I just finished up doing some illustrations of the 'BRATZ' doll characters. I was working with producer Charlotte DeBlock & Penguin Books. Hopefully I might be doing more illustrations in the future.
I
teamed up again with Walter Santucci as the Evil
Cat Land crew along with Kaleidoscope Films
Group to provide animation for the open title sequence of 'The
Punisher' movie. It was a rushed job with a lot a bumps along the
way but in the end it turned out to be a nice piece. When I get a clip of
the animated open, I'll post it in the 'Animation
Samples' section of the website.
I teamed up with Denise Dawson of Leaping Lizards in Southfield, MIchigan and a crew of talented artists to work on some storyboards for Big Productions studios. Here are the links. Link 1 Link 2 Link 3

I'm currently putting together two art portfolio books. The first one titled, Cutesy, Crazy Characters, Caricatures, Comics & Cartoons-Volume 1, will have samples of artwork that I've done for various companies. The second book titled, Classic Caricatures, The Art of Layron DeJarnette, will highlight caricatures of famous celebrities. I am also teaming together with with some great artists to work on a few animated projects to be pitched at various studios. Animation director, Walter Santucci & conceptual artist, Julian Allen are just a few people involved on the projects.

The site is 90% completed. I just started a job co-directing and animating a commercial spot for a company in Ohio with director Walter Santucci of Evil Cat Land animation studios.
Be sure to pick up the May and June/July issues of Disney's Adventures magazine.
I worked on "The Proud Family" comic strips along with another artist
Robert Rucker. The strips were done under the direction of Bruce
Smith, the creator of the show.

The website is about 85% completed. I just need to add in some more drawings, animation clips and finish the store. I've been preparing for the 2003 San Diego Comic Con, trying to get projects and samples done to present. I also want to add a tutorial section to the site.
